The two-door version of the W111 S-Class was first shown to the public in February 1961 at the opening celebration for the new Mercedes museum in Stuttgart. Designer Paul Bracq created a timelessly beautiful styling without the fintails of the 4-door sedans. That was the reason why the W111 coupés survived the W111 sedans by more than 3 years and continued to be in production until mid of 1971.

This 280 SE Coupé comes in one of the best colour combinations for this car and is in good and original condition troughout. It is left hand drive and has the double headlights of the US-version.
