1966 Ford Cortina 1500 Deluxe Mark I Saloon

4-cylinder Mitsubishi engine with 1,600 cm³. Manual 5-speed gearbox.

The Ford Cortina was launched in 1962 and featured an eye catching, modern styling. Originally branded Consul Cortina, the first name was dropped after a small facelift in 1964. In 1966 the Mark I was replaced by the Mark II, which had a completely new, but more conventional styling. The Ford Cortina was available with 1.2 and 1.5 litre engines in 2-door and 4-door saloon and 4-door estate bodies. The hottest version was the Lotus Cortina with 1.6 litre twin cam engine and 106 hp.

According to the owner this Cortina 4-door saloon is in superb condition after a bare metal restoration (full photographic record) with immaculate paintwork. Very good interior with new carpets, headlining etc. Mechanically very sound with new starter, alternator, brakes, suspension, tyres, battery and much more. Blue book, taxed and insured.
